A diaphragm pump is the most well-known type of positive displacement pump. It’s also known as a Membrane pump. A diaphragm pump pumps a fluid by combining the reciprocating action of the diaphragm made of Teflon, thermoplastic, or rubber with the corresponding valves (globe valves, flap valves, butterfly valves, check valves, or any other type of valve) on both sides of the diaphragm.
